"Loseyi professor" By Seyi vibez

Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi known professionally as Seyi Vibez, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

He is largely known for his breakthrough single "Chance (Na Ham)" from his second studio album Billion Dollar Baby which debuted at No. 19 on the UK Afrobeats singles chart and peaked number 7 on the TurnTable Top 100 chart.

Seyi Vibez was born in Ketu, Lagos State, where he spent his early life before moving to Ikorodu, Lagos State, where he grew up. Seyi Vibez debuted in 2019 with his single "Anybody".
 

He first gained popularity in 2021 following the release of his single "Godsent", same year he released his debut studio album No Seyi No Vibez (NSNV), his second studio album Billion Dollar Baby with the deluxe version "Billion Dollar Baby 2.0" were released in 2022.

The album peaked at number 1 on the Turntable 50 albums chart. Same year he was cited as one of the 16 African artistes to watch by MoreBranches.

On 6 January 2023, Seyi Vibez released his 5 tracked debut Extended play, "Memory Card” which garnered over 6.30 million streams in its first week, with four tracks from the EP dominating the Turntable top 10 chart and was listed by Pan African Music as one of the 10 best albums of January 2023.

On July 12th, he released ‘Loseyi Professor’. The cover art features Seyi Vibez channeling Albert Einstein. The tracklist is a collection of city names (Lagos, Doha, Casablanca, Santorini, Abu Dhabi, Manchester) with a final track titled "Albert Einstein."

The EP has received mixed reviews. Some miss the high-energy Seyi Vibez of "Chance," the voice that soundtracked late-night adventures. 'Loseyi Professor' showcases a decidedly mellower production. Online murmurs suggest listener fatigue and a yearning for the "old Seyi Vibez."

Despite the mixed reception, 'Loseyi Professor' is projected to chart at No. 2 with 9-11 million on-demand streams (equivalent to 6,000-7,330 units).
 

This follows the success of 'Vibez Incorporation Mixtape, Vol. 1,' which debuted at No. 1 with 13.9 million streams (9,240 units), held the top spot for seven weeks, and remained in the top 10 for ten weeks. It currently boasts over 88 million streams and platinum certification (58,670+ units).
